If you like a straightforward Central American coffee with a little darker roast, this is for you. This is the same bean as the El Corazon -just roasted darker- hence the name, Dark Heart.
(From Cruz Alta, Lempira, Honduras - We spent 15 days in this area a few years ago and it stole our heart - El Corazón means "heart". We saw the farmers. We saw the fields. We saw the children. We loved that place!)
This coffee is a slightly different take on our "house coffee". If you like a straightforward Central American coffee with a little darker roast, this is for you. Medium body, nutty tones and a slight bit heavier finish.

Dark Heart is everything I want in a morning coffee. It has incredible depth and complexity, with rich, dark notes that are bold without being bitter. It's smooth, never jittery, and that first sip instantly grabs your attention. The aroma is amazing and the flavors continue to develop as you drink it. Best of all, it doesn't need milk, cream, or sugar—it's outstanding on its own. If you're looking for fresh, high-quality coffee, give this roaster a try. From what I understand, they roast their beans every Wednesday, so if your order takes a little longer than expected, know it's because you're getting incredibly fresh coffee/beans. It's absolutely worth the wait. I'm in Michigan, and this is the only place I order my coffee beans from now. I'm happy to support such an awesome small business that clearly takes pride in what they do.
