Brazil is the largest coffee producing country in the world – like as in 2011-2012 season, Brazil invoiced some $7.2 trillion (USD) worth of coffee. Now if you ask me and let’s just pretend you did – that is a whole lot of coffee. Coffee originated in the country of Ethiopia but was taken to Brazil in the early 18th century. From there it flourished and has become a huge product for the country.
This Brazil Blend Decaf is a blend of several coffees from Brazil. Each one is selected so the Blend is a smooth tasting coffee. This coffee is Swiss Water Processed (SWP). What exactly does this mean? Well, it means that this coffee is very clean as far as decafs go.
The SWISS WATER® Process uses water from the coast mountains of British Columbia to gently remove the caffeine until the coffee beans are 99.9% caffeine-free, while maintaining the bean’s distinctive origin and flavor characteristics. Please know that you can drink this with confidence that no chemicals were used to remove the caffeine from the coffee.
What we love about our Brazil Blend Decaf is it’s very smooth flavor. It has been very exciting to do a single pour-over for a customer who was considering this decaf and then see a smile come across their faces. That means that this decaf doesn’t have that “bite” that some decafs have when you try them.
